Accessibility & Special Requirements

We are committed to making the 9th SA TB Conference 2026 inclusive and accessible for all delegates. The conference venue, Birchwood Hotel & OR Tambo Conference Centre, provides the following facilities:

Mobility & Wheelchair Access

The property is flat and wheelchair friendly.
Doorways are wide, allowing easy access for wheelchairs.
There is a ramp leading into the Domestic Centre.

Seating Arrangements

Reserved seating for delegates with disabilities can be arranged.
Space for wheelchairs can be accommodated in session rooms and plenary halls with prior instructions.

Restrooms & Facilities

Accessible restrooms are available throughout the property.
Signage is provided for parking and restrooms for people with disabilities.

Parking & Transport

Accessible parking is available near the entrance, though the property is large.
Shuttle or transport support for delegates with mobility issues is not provided.

Additional Conference Support

Stage ramps will be provided for wheelchair users presenting as speakers.
Sign language interpretation will be available for all opening plenary sessions.
